2023 Countries Eligible for the DV Lottery Program DV-2024
Citizens of the following countries are eligible to participate in the 2022 DV Lottery (DV-2024). If your country of birth is not one of the eligible countries in the DV Lottery Program, please check back in September for updates on Countries Eligible for the DV Lottery Program.
Note that you may substitute your spouse’s country of birth for your own if your own is not on the list but your spouse was born in one of the eligible nations (i.e. if your spouse was born in one of the qualifying nations listed below, you are still eligible to apply).
You may also claim the native country of one of your parents if you were born in an ineligible nation but neither of your parents were residents or were born there at the time of your birth.
As soon as you can, submit your application for the Diversity Immigrant Visa Program. To have the best chance of being chosen and being able to live and work permanently in the United States of America, learn how to apply for the DV Lottery online right away.
